The Eager Emmaline Story Begins

Tara's contractions have been pretty regular and by Tuesday evening got to 2 minutes apart consistently and were more intense so we can to L&D at Baptist LR upon her doc's recommendation.

We thought we had gotten intervention in time and she had not progressed any upon checkin last night. We were hoping to get some on drugs be sent back home last night, but they wanted to monitor her. We were fine with the safe route.

Then the stomach bug that we thought she had avoided (Crosby and I have both had it this week) hit in the middle of the night. Which is actually good that we were in the hospital where they have things to lessen it's effect. Once she can shake the bug she'll feel much better.

[disclaimer: if OB numbers are going to bother you you may need to not read my updates for the next month]

We just saw Tara's OB and she has progressed to 2cm+ and 80% effaced from 1cm and thick yesterday evening. Tara is now officially staying in the hospital in the antennal unit (our old stomping ground) on meds and bedrest at least until we hit 34 weeks (currently 32 at weeks) if not longer. We will see how things look when we get there.

I'll get Tara settled in here and then make a plan for working etc. Currenty my mom has Crosby in Conway.

Love you guys. You've "been there, done that" but I know that doesn't lessen the anxiety. Praying!

I was thinking about y'all yesterday. I worked on the antepartum yet at Baptist yesterday. I might be there next week. I will come by and see y'all if I am not scheduled to be the tech on that unit. Praying for y'all. Let us know if we can do anything.

Prayers coming your way! Praying you're able to rest and enjoy the time (after the bug leaves!). Praying for Crosby while Mom and Dad are away, and for Emmaline. Hugs, Anna.

Thanks Amy! It does certainly help knowing the ropes though.

Blair, we hope to get to see you next time you are on the second floor.

If Anna Wanamaker is asking her sweet Jesus to take care of us, then I'm not worried one bit.

Thanks Leslie.

I am praying for you all....she's just ready to be here and be apart of your sweet, precious family, just like a little girl, not wanting to miss out on anything. Love you all!
