The Swamp

Last weekend we got to fulfill one of Chris' lifelong dreams by attending a home game at the University of Florida with his parents. We flew into Tallahassee, and his parents picked us up and we drove the rest of the way to Gainsville. The Gators played Tennessee, and it was a good game--closer than we expected, but still a win. Tim Tebow was fun to watch in person--oh to have that much passion and enthusiasm. :) The weather was awesome, hot and sunny. Thankfully, Chris made sure our seats were on the side of the stadium that was shaded! There truly is no other place quite like Florida's home stadium, "The Swamp." I wonder what little Crosby was thinking during the game--at times it got sooo loud, and he was kicking around like crazy! We had a great time and were able to celebrate Chris' dad's birthday by having dinner after the game at Bone Fish Grill. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Labor Day Weekend '09

This Labor Day weekend was a fun one with Chris' parents and our nephews staying with us. Chris and his dad worked hard on bathroom projects and made some great progress. Thank you, Daddy Rick--you were a huge help! They finished tiling the shower walls and tiled the bathroom floor. It just needs to be grouted now. Also, they hung the bead board wainscoting, which really brightened up the walls. Dozzie and I had fun playing with Zion (3 yrs) and little Glenn (7 mths). I have a new appreciation for parenthood now. The boys were so cute and have grown so much since we last saw them. Crosby is going to have a blast playing with his older cousins. Thanks for making the long trek up to Arkansas, Dozzie & Grandpa, and for another great Labor Day weekend. This may become an annual thing.
